INTRO: The scavengar hunt (aka scavie hunt or just scavie) is a big contest that I throw yearly (during the summer time) in honor of dream-ling.net's birthday. This is its 3rd year and I hope that this year will be even better than last year. ^_^ Last year, we had 80+ people joined the contest. The helpers gained A LOT of hits. Anyway, this year, I've decided to do something different than last year. Instead of just having codes, I will have 5 sites with a puzzle piece instead of a regular code.
GOAL: The objective of the this game is to go to the helpers' site (I will list them when the time comes) and find the special codes or puzzle pieces that are hidden somewhere in those sites. Each site has one code. The more you find, the more points you get. 1 Code = 1 Point.

So what do you win? Why should you waste your time looking for stupid codes? Well, here is a list of the prizes and winners (3 this year!):

Anyone can join. You don't need a site, just a working e-mail that you check often.
If you're not going to do through with the whole thing, I would prefer it if you DIDN'T join. If you do join, at least try. It's NOT that hard.
Even if you don't find all the codes/puzzle pieces, submit what you *DO* have because you never know. You might be one of the 3 lucky winners. ^_^

No cheating! Do not ask other people to help you find a code, e-mail the helpers for the code or anything along those lines. If caught, you can no longer enter the contest.
TIPS
Sign up at FileLodge.com so that you can upload the puzzle pieces. They give you 500MB of space so why not sign up anyway? ^_^
Open up notepad or some program like it and keep track of your codes and url to the puzzle pieces that way. That way when it's time to turn in the code, you can just copy and paste the whole thing into the form and not have to worry about organizing them or whatnot. I want you to turn that in a specific order. I will tell you when the time comes.
2 free hints on any sites: All you have to do is e-mail me at enguyen155@hotmail.com. Please use the e-mail address that you sign up for the contest with so that I can find it easily. In the e-mail, tell me which site(s) you need a hint for.
The codes will NOT be hidden in: alt tag, popup pages, on an image, or is smaller than font 6. BUT it can be in a different color so be careful.
You can fit the puzzle together in PS or PSP so you just have to send in one whole image instead of 5 individual pieces.
This contest, really, is all about how well you follow instructions and how much time you have on your hand to sit and look for these codes. Some people go crazy, others feel rewarded. Being fast is good, but don't rush because people did that last year and they didn't win.
The whole image of the puzzle should look like this when they are put together.
Submit what you have because you'll never know. Make sure that they are in order by the first number in the codes. If you think you made a mistake, you can submit another one again. For the puzzle pieces, you can put them together and just submit one image, but make sure that you include the codes found in the image file name. Ask me if you don't understand!!!
I've looked for the code everywhere, but I can't find it on the site. Are you sure that it's there?
- It should be, but sometimes the owner might have override the file and forgot to add it again (it happens). If you're unsure whether or not it's there, just e-mail me and I'll check it out.
How will you determine who is the winner?
- I look for 2 things: 1) to see if you have all the codes required, and 2) to see if the codes are correct and that you've follow all of my instructions.
Is signing up for Angel Cloud Forums necessary?
- No, but I do hold contests there with great prizes. Also, there are items in the shop that you can actually buy and I will send to you. So it's really up to you, but it would be nice. :)
- The end of July/beginning of August will be when you can turn in the codes, but wait for my e-mail and the form to go up. Otherwise, if you e-mail me, it won't count. The form will be up for 1-2 weeks. During that 1-2 weeks, no one new can join the contest, but the people who have joined before can continue looking for the codes.
- Random winner poll will be during the month of August. It will go on for about 3-4 weeks. Plus, maybe another mini contest: Which site was the hardest to find? A mini prize for the helpers.
- All the prizes will be handed out in September/October. Why so late? Because I said so.
