HOW TO MAKE A 404 PAGE
|
- Make sure you have all the graphics/layouts you want to use for your 404 page already made. This tutorial is just going to teach you how to put one up, not how to create the designs. Name the page whatever you want. I usually name them 404.html.
- Find your htaccess.txt file. Usually, it should already be there. You can find it when you open FTP or in your cpanel. If you can't find it, make a new file and name it that.
- Put this in htaccess.txt. The url is where your 404 page will be found and upload it into your main directory.
- Once you have uploaded it, rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess.
