IMAGE EFFECTS
| |
These effects are good for making layouts, wallpapers, banners...etc. Use one, use all! It's all up to you! ^_^ Have fun!
ORIGINAL IMAGE:

Wind Effect
There are two ways to do this.

[1] Light Wind Effect
- Open up the image that you want to use.
- Effects -> Geometric Effects -> Wind
- Set the strength to 1 and you can pick right or left...depending on what you want. -> OK
- Effects -> Sharpen -> Sharpen
- Effects -> Sharpen -> Sharpen More
[2] Stronger Wind Effect

- Open up the image that you want to use.
- Layers ->Duplicate
- See the layer palette window somewhere on your screen? If you can't see the window, click on this icon. [
] Go one layer down. When you first sees it, it should be on "Copy of *name*"..well, if you look down one, click on that.
- Effects -> Geometric Effects -> Wind
- Set the strength to 20 and you can pick right or left...depending on what you want. -> OK
- Now go back to the layer palette window and click on "Copy of *name*". In that same layer, it should say "Normal". Change it to "Screen" by click on the arrow and the list of option should show up.
Pixelate Effect

- Open up the image that you want to use.
- Layers ->Duplicate
- Effects -> Geometric Effects -> Pixelate
Set it to be symmetric and put the width and height from 15-30. You can pick. I would go with 20 or 25.
- Click on the layer window and change "Normal" to "Screen" (The "Copy of *name" layer).
- With the erase, erase the area that you don't want the effect to be on. I would do the face since it's hard to see it.
Lazy Vector/Painted Effect
Since they're so alike, it's really hard to tell which one is which, but which ever looks best to you, I guess. ^_^

- If you want the painted look, go to effects -> Noise -> Edge Preserving Smooth and set the number how ever high you want it. The higher, the better. I would set it to 30.
- If you want the lazy vector look, go to effects -> Noise -> Edge Preserving Smooth and set the number 10-20. Then go to Effects -> Sharpen -> Sharpen More.
Glowing Image Effect
I would use this one to make the image brighter. Sometimes a certain area is dark and so this effect would be best to enhance the image. ^_^

- Layer -> Duplicate
- Effects -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur
- Set the radius from 3.00-4.00. The higher, the brighter.
- Layers Palette Window -> Change "Normal" to "Screen"
