OVERLAYING |
Okay, in today tutorial we're going to learn about overlaying with the Layer blend mode. This is very helpful when you want to blend in text, images, brushes...so that it blends with the image and not stand out. Here is an image of me using text overlay.
![]() Okay, I numbered them so that it's easier to talk about them. This example shows the text overlay effect. If you look at #1, it looks nice, right, but look at # 2 and 3. What do you see? Not much. This is just to show you that sometimes it doesn't really work. The color of the text and the background can't be too dark # 2 or too light # 3. It's still very nice looking though, so here is how to do it with the text, BUT it does work with images, brushes...etc.
TIP: You can also play around with the others and see what you can come up with. Most of them look the same and some don't do much, but it's different each time. Still need help? Go to the forum! HAVE FUN!
