Who likes it doggy style?

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

So I usually don’t like in-n-out because I think it’s not all that great. A few weeks ago my mom took me there because my little brother wanted some. We went through the drive thru, but their speaker was broken so a worker had to come out to take our orders.

Me: Can I have some fries and can you make it doggy style?
Worker: um..you mean animal style.

I can tell the guy was trying hard not to laugh. They have a secret menu that you can see here. Since I don’t go there often, it’s hard to remember what it’s called. So next time you go, try ordering something using the “secret” words.

Apple malfunctioning

Saturday, January 19th, 2008

Being a PC user, I tend to not like to use Macs. For one thing, I’m so used to PC shortcuts that it gets annoying when I do that on a Mac and then realized that it’s not a PC. Anyway, I only like the ipods because I’ve used one for 3 years now and never had a problem with it.

In my last entry, I said that I got a new ipod classic and an itouch. So I was updating my ipod yesterday night and it malfunctioned. For some reason, it keep turning on and off on its own. I tried to reset it, but it doesn’t work. So I was going to go back to apple and have them fix it or replace it.

Then today at work, I was on the computer doing some planning for an event when I clicked on a link (to go to the next page) and the computer froze on me. I asked my supervisor and he said, “You froze a Mac? I’ve never seen anyone do that before.” So I restarted the computer and when it started up again, all it had was a grey screen and nothing else. It was an old computer anyway, but still, 2 (apple products) incidents in less than 24 hours? hm…something’s wrong here.

But it doesn’t all end in everything just falling apart. So after the computer broke down, we all went to lunch. When we got back about an hour later, one of my co-worker was sitting at the computer. We told him that the computer broke. He said that it’s working fine now. WTF! The stupid Mac fixed itself.

As for the ipod, my supervisor told me to turn my ipod onto disk mode. So I went on google and searched for how to do that. It worked! My ipod is working fine now. However, I have to go out and buy the apple care package. I’m afraid something like this is going to happen again in the near future.

It’s a good thing I have my itouch. I used it while walking to class today. Though, I’m not too fond of using the itouch for music because I’m so used to the wheel that it feels weird touching play, stop,..etc.

iTouch

I got a 80GB ipod classic in November because it went on sale. Today, my boyfriend gave me $300 to buy whatever I wanted (late Christmas gift) and I got a 8GB itouch. I don’t know how I’m going to make use of both, but I love to go online when I’m on campus and don’t have to carry my laptop with me. Yay!

*sigh*

As much as I would love to graduate this year, I’m afraid I can’t. I don’t have to fully stay a 5th year, but it will still put me behind a year. I suppose it doesn’t hurt to apply for graduate school next year, but I want to be done with school already! Hearing my housemates talk about grad applications is depressing. The deadline is approaching and I feel like I should be applying with them, but I’m just sitting here–bored out of my mind–worrying about my 5th year. This sucks!

Crazy Woman

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

Vegas was fun, but I got sick so I haven’t been to work in 3 days. I’m glad the holiday season is over though! I’m so tired of the rush and the annoying people. The day before Christmas, craziness was to be expected, but there were no bitchy customers beside this one crazy woman.

It was a pretty slow morning as no crazy people would want to be up at 7am to shop the day before Christmas. So around 10:30, it got a bit busier, but my co-workers and I didn’t weren’t doing much at the registers. So this woman came up to us and right away she started complaining. She said that one of my co-worker upstairs did not tell her that there were no registers upstairs. He was helping someone else and he told her to hold on one minute. After he was done, he finally told her that she had to pay downstairs. So she wasted time waiting when he could have told her right away…yadda yadda yadda…and this is why she preferred to shop online instead…yadda yadda yadda.

So I said to her, “maybe he thought you needed help finding an item.” That was the only thing I said to her. She went off on me. The crazy bitch started saying that we’re young and that we need to learn that customers are everything and that I shouldn’t have said that to her. She made it seems like I said something awful to her.

After that, she went to go get her gift wrapped. She wanted a CD wrapped and my co-worker asked her if she wanted a little bag for it. She said, “Well, I’m not going to pay to get this wrapped.” My co-worker told her that it was free and she yelled, “WELL, why didn’t YOU tell me it was FREE?” *ahem* CRAZY *ahem*
