Being a PC user, I tend to not like to use Macs. For one thing, I’m so used to PC shortcuts that it gets annoying when I do that on a Mac and then realized that it’s not a PC. Anyway, I only like the ipods because I’ve used one for 3 years now and never had a problem with it.
In my last entry, I said that I got a new ipod classic and an itouch. So I was updating my ipod yesterday night and it malfunctioned. For some reason, it keep turning on and off on its own. I tried to reset it, but it doesn’t work. So I was going to go back to apple and have them fix it or replace it.
Then today at work, I was on the computer doing some planning for an event when I clicked on a link (to go to the next page) and the computer froze on me. I asked my supervisor and he said, “You froze a Mac? I’ve never seen anyone do that before.” So I restarted the computer and when it started up again, all it had was a grey screen and nothing else. It was an old computer anyway, but still, 2 (apple products) incidents in less than 24 hours? hm…something’s wrong here.
But it doesn’t all end in everything just falling apart. So after the computer broke down, we all went to lunch. When we got back about an hour later, one of my co-worker was sitting at the computer. We told him that the computer broke. He said that it’s working fine now. WTF! The stupid Mac fixed itself.
As for the ipod, my supervisor told me to turn my ipod onto disk mode. So I went on google and searched for how to do that. It worked! My ipod is working fine now. However, I have to go out and buy the apple care package. I’m afraid something like this is going to happen again in the near future.
It’s a good thing I have my itouch. I used it while walking to class today. Though, I’m not too fond of using the itouch for music because I’m so used to the wheel that it feels weird touching play, stop,..etc.
