The World is Annoying Me

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Okay, maybe not the world, but people. People annoys me, especially the mean ones! I’m going to do a list because I like making lists.

  • On September 29, my friend and I was waiting for the bus with a bunch of people. So the bus comes and everyone has their ID (which is also a bus pass). This girl got on and I guess she doesn’t have the Fall 2008 sticker on her card because the bus driver wouldn’t let her on. So this girl and the bus driver were arguing about how she doesn’t have $1.25 for the fare and she has no other way of getting home. Some of the people waiting in line were yelling, “just pay her $1!” and the girl was yelling back,”I don’t have cash!” I don’t remember if the girl got on the bus or not, but she did started to cry. So about a week ago, I was sitting on the bus and there was this sign. It said that starting on October 13, all students must have the Fall 2008 sticker. WTF, right? Bitch!
  • Tailgaters and I’m-in-a-hurry drivers. I don’t tailgate so don’t freaking drive so close to me. If you think I’m driving too slow IN THE SLOW LANE, then change to the other 3 LANES AVAILABLE. I happen to like my car and don’t want a freaking ticket. And to the drivers who are driving like you have an emergency: I hope you’re not like that guy ahead of me who go pulled over by a cop for speeding or the guy who killed 3 little kids. Also, when you see me turning and you’re still a good distance behind me, don’t freaking speed up and then change lane right away so that you don’t hit me. What if you hit another car. JUST FREAKING DON’T SPEED. It’s better to be late to be somewhere than to injury/kill someone or yourself.
  • To the people who don’t believe in taking showers. I totally support whatever it is that you believe in, but I don’t want to be touched by you or sit near you in class/on bus/whatever. It makes my noise itch. I might be allergic. Plus, you have all these extra bacteria on you because you don’t clean yourself and I can’t be sick right now; I have too much going on.
  • To the people who are mean to others in general. It doesn’t help if you yell at the poor homeless guy. You can see he’s not all there in the head so ignore or just politely said ‘no’.
  • To all the people outside of California who are trying to pass Proposition 8. Please worry about your own state and invest your money in saving endangered species instead of telling poeple who to do.
  • To the annoying girls in my class who makes immature comments. Just shut up! I can’t stand you at 8AM. Also to the weird guy in the front who ask some stupid questions. IT’S NOT ON THE TEST, ASK HIM IN OFFICE HOURS. I DON’T CARE! God, I hate taking lower division classes, so many immature people.
  • So to other people who freaking annoyed me, just leav me alone when I’m PMSing.

Okay, I’m done venting.

I hate you, but I need you!

Relationship is a tricky thing. You never know how it’s going to be. Screw that! I hate this!

Dumb

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

Remember when my sister crashed my car (or it’s now her car)? Well, she finally confessed to me that the first time, it was by some random person. However, the 2nd time (in the same spot), it was done by her friend’s friend. So her friend let her friend park her car and that person hit my sister’s car. So her friend came in and told my sister, but according to my sister, her friend passed it off like it wasn’t a big deal. You know what my sister did? NOTHING! She did nothing. She just shrugged it off. Is she serious? Friend or foe, you hit my car, pay me for the damages. When I told my sister that she should have done something, she got all mad at me. WHAT A DUMBASS!!!!!!!!!

People vs People

Really random and possibly controversal post.

So with the election near and the economy doing downhill, this should be a fun year…or not. As some of you know, this summer California past a new law allowing same-sex marriages. Now, there are people who are happy and then there are some who are upset by this new law. In comes Proposition 8, “Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry.”

I personally don’t care what people want to do with their live or what they believe in. However, I do think that some people take it way too far. For example, the other day, I was in Fresno and my boyfriend pointed out that this man was ripping a “NO on Proposition 8″ banner on the side of the road. Then I was watching the news yesterday and they were saying how the Mormons are really determined to pass Proposition 8. Read this.

Why don’t people care about things that DO matter? Like the economy, global warming…etc. Why are people always trying to tell others what to do? When it comes to things that they don’t believe in, they’re all over it like ants on candy.

I doubt that Proposition 8 will pass because California is, after all, a democratic state. People can try to pass laws after laws banning it, but I doubt it will go through. Look at San Francisco! They allowed same-sex marriages long before the whole state allowed it. Also, California is not the only state that allows this. So good luck trying to ban it. What a waste of money and energy!

So yes…the election is coming soon. I might not be able to vote this time because I’m registered in a different county. If the election is on a Tuesday or Thursday, then I can’t vote. I believe that I can still change my address, but I don’t really know how to do that. Also, I seriously don’t know who to vote for. Anyway, we’ll see.

Oh, and another thing that I want to bring up. When you ask people, “What do you believe in?” in terms of science vs god and how we came to be…yadda yadda yadda. If they answer, “I don’t believe in anything,” ask them, “So how did we get here?” and see what they say.

So this topic came up when I was talking to my friend one night. She told me that when her professor asked the students in her class, “Do you believe in the big bang or god created us or something else?” some people said, “I don’t believe in anything.” Isn’t that so bullshit though? How can you not believe in anything? Even if you believe that we magically appeared on earth by some unknown force, it’s still believing in something. If you think that aliens came and dropped us off, that’s believing in something. If the dinosaurs made us, that’s believing in something. You have to believe in something, even if the idea is far-fetched. If they don’t have any idea of how we came to be, then that’s a different story.

So shifting topics to something a little less touchy. Remember this friend I had who was kind of odd. So after I told her how I felt about her attitude towards me, our friendship have not been the same. She usually calls me and tell her all her exciting news, etc. So after the confrontation, I haven’t really hung out with her. Over the summer, she applied for a teaching job in North Korea. I didn’t know about that until my friend told me. Yeah, she told me herself later, but only because I called/e-mailed her and see how she’s doing and for her birthday. Anyway, I guess she got accepted. Again, I found out from another friend. This other friend is someone that she met about a year or two ago and they aren’t really closed or anything. So imagined my surprise when she called her instead of me. WTF!

In other news, it’s getting super cold here (sadly, we will never get snow)! I was up at 5 am for school and as I was waiting for the bus, I wanted to die. I couldn’t feel my hands, feet, nose, anything. Oh, and on the bus ride home, I think I was snoring loudly. I hope not. I didn’t want to scare people around me with my loud snoring.

Big Fun

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

I drove down to visit my boyfriend last weekend and we went to the Fresno Fair. It’s apparently the biggest event of the year. Anyway, I’ve never been to a big fair before so it was really fun. Plus, I got a chance to try the huge $8 turkey leg. It was okay. I liked it, but it was too big and kind of chewy. We spent about $200 at the fair. We played the games, but they were hard to win and a big waste of money. I ate a lot of food too. Also, I made my own scented candle, bought some smelly beads for my room, and got a bunch of others little iteams.
