Blah

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

So I’ve been busy for the past 2 weeks with school. Only 1 more week of school and then I have my bachelor degree. 2 more weeks before I finish everything. I have 6 finals this year (3 easy, 1 hard, 2 medium). Plus, I have to study for my Pharmacy Techician test too. *sigh* I can’t wait until all of this is over and all I have life is work and study for the PCAT until the end of January.

For Thanksgiving, I didn’t go anywhere. My aunt, uncle and sister came home and we had dinner at 3:30pm (so damn early!). Then my sister, my other aunt, and I went to Gilroy outlet mall at midnight because I wanted to go to Coach, but it was soooo crowded. I was about a mile away from the exit when the traffic hit. Apparently, besides the fact that everyone was trying to exit, there was also an accident near the exit. Kids in mini van headbutted some car and there was glass shattered everywhere. Idiots! Anyway, so we finally made it into the parking lot, but I couldn’t find parking and the line for Coach was soooo long. So I drove to Great Mall (smaller outlet mall) and we walked around there. We didn’t buy anything because the lines were so long because ALL the stores had giant sales going on. I did buy my brother an itouch case for $10.

I got home at 4am and called my friend to go to another mall (more expensive). She picked me up and we waited for Macy’s to open at 5am. When the doors opened up, everyone made a mad dash for the purses. There was a huge sale on some of the old Coach purses for 40% off. Everyone just grabed whatever they can, even though they weren’t planning on buying all of it. I didn’t find any that I wanted, but I did grab a few. I threw them back and people jumped for them like sharks. It was so funny. So I grabed another one and threw it back in and 5 hands tried to grab it at once. It was hilarious. I did it like 3 times. I love messing with the crazy shoppers. Anyway, my friend got some clothes, but I didn’t buy anything. Macy’s gave me a free energy drink though. haha!

Finally, I got home at 8am. I fell asleep until 11am. My mom woke me up because we had to go to a family party. Then my mom said that she’ll buy me and my sister Uggs. So after lunch with my family, we drove to the same mall that I was at before with my friend. So got me the boots, but my sister didn’t want them and she couldn’t find anything else she wanted.

Then I went home and slept from 5-8pm. My siblings and I were suppose to be at my cousin’s house at 7pm, but we overslept. So we got to their house, ate some food, and we played a game until 12am.

Man, it was a LLOOONNNNGGG ass day!!!!!! It wasn’t so bad compared to what I did last year.

So today, my friend and I went back to Great Mall because she wanted to buy some stuff. We went to H&M and I got 2 bras for $16. My friend got some more stuff, but I didn’t want to spend money since I have to pay for pharm and grad applications.

I have work tomorrow.

Sailor Moon

I never thought I would be talking about SM ever again. Anyway, I was on youtube the other day and wanted to search for some of the old anime that people don’t talk about anymore. SM came to mind.

I remember bookmarking a lot of really awesome SM sites back then. There were some great fanfictions, manga scans, music, clips, etc that people made. I still have my SM cards collection in the garage. It’s in the same binder and everything!

In 6th grade, they would show the first couple of seasons of SM on cartoon network around 4ish. I remember rushing over to my cousin’s house after school because my parents couldn’t pick me up in time. In fact, I even remember Banana in Pajamas being on before SM and I was forced to watch it because I was afraid I would forget and miss a minute of SM. That was fun.

Overall, SM was the one that got me hooked on anime to begin with. To me, it will always be a classic like I Love Lucy.

What’s yours?

Lovin’ my Caffeine

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are your official caffeine days. I have to wake up at 4:50am and I need to be awake until midnight. So for the past 5 weeks, I would drink about 3-4 bags of instant coffee a day. For the past week, I switch over to 4 bags of jasmine tea a day. Tea is actually a little bit healthier than coffee because 1) no sugar and 2) less caffeine. However, because it’s not as caffeinated, I have a harder time staying awake and it doesn’t really have a great taste like coffee (though it doesn’t have a bad aftertaste). So yes, I am a caffeine addict. I doubt I can make it through the day without some caffeine in my body.

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday are different because I wake up after 8am so I don’t need much caffeine. Though on Sunday, at work, I would have a large cup of tea, but that’s it.

I have one of those 5-hour energy drink thing, but I’ve never tried it. I heard different things from different people. Some say that it works and other say that it taste like shit. I’m saving it for finals week so we’ll see then.

In other news, I’m starting a mini blog for my dog, Coco. It sounds strange, but she’s a strange dog and I need to utilize my space a little more. It’s called Hanging With The Chihuahua. Check it out!

“I hope your kids get raped”

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

I sometimes browse around the internet, reading blogs, watching movies, etc, because I like to avoid doing homework.

Yesterday, I came upon this girl’s blog and was reading some of her entries. As I was reading, I thought to myself, Cool, a blog that’s a little bit interesting. BUT then I read this entry.

“…I hope your kids get raped not once, or twice, but 8 times by some bum on the street because that’s the chinese good luck number. Aren’t I nice to not even choose 4 times which means death in chinese?

The image of this fucktarded white dumbass is ingrained in my mind. If I become a doctor and see this guy in the hospital, OH I’LL HELP HIM. And by help him, I mean pull the plug on his respirator. Oh and that’s just for shits and giggles of course!

Either that or I hope he gets raped by some person who has AIDS and suffers a painful and torturous LONG DEATH.”

um…This girl has issues. The guy was bothering her and threw a piece of paper at her, but from what she wrote, he didn’t threaten to kill her or hurt her. So to say that she wishes his KIDS (who have nothing to do with this) get raped or that he dies is just plain sad and immature for someone who is in COLLEGE and trying to get into medical school.

“I swear I’m not angry. Really.

Maybe she doesn’t have anger issues, but she has other issues. I hope she doesn’t become a doctor because I wouldn’t want to be her patient. Plus, doctors are suppose to want to HELP people, not wish for their death. If she wants to do that, then a medical degree is not what she should be pursuing. Maybe that’s why she didn’t score so high on her MCAT. Someone or something is trying to tell her not to become a doctor.

Rain = Sleepy

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

Do you guys like sleeping when it’s raining? I know I do. Rain makes me sleepy because the sound of the raindrops hitting the roof is calming. However, it sucks when you have to drive on a windy road and all you can think about is a bed. I so wanted to fall alseep while driving today, but I didn’t want to get into an accident so I blasted cool air in my face. That helped a little. I was still sleepy.

Daylight saving on Sunday. We go back an hour, right?

[EDIT] Added a comment plugger, but it’s not showing up on the first page.
