Okay, it’s not a post on how YOU can make money. I just wanted to tell you how I made money today…or more like this month.
So recently, I went on amazon and craigslist and sold my old textbooks. So far, I’m getting $200 for 3 books. Although, amazon takes a bit longer to give you your money. Then I went around the house and gather all the loose coins laying around. Today, I took all that I can find and went to coinstar. All my change added up to $107, but coinstar charges tax if you want it back in cash. So I got about $97, which is still good. Though I gave my dad and brother some because they contribute the most change.
Oh yeah, and I got paid today too. So I pretty much sat around the house today and got money. Yay!
I’m still looking for a 2nd job. I got a few interviews, but I didn’t call them back because I really wanted a specific job. Maybe I shouldn’t be so picky.
I called Best Buy and asked how much it would cost to fix my external hard drive or at least get the data from there onto a different one. You know what they told me? Less an 10 GB costs ~$100. If it’s more than 10 GB, then it’s like $200 or something like that. And if I want the hard drive fixed, it cost ~$1000. Yes, I want my anime and other files that I have on there, but I don’t want to spend that much. They’re crazy! So I’m just going to download what I can again, but that’s a lot of Detective Conan that I’ve just lost. Anyway, I still have the other hard drive, but I’ll probably buy another one so I can backup my backup files. How redundant. I HATE LOSING FILES!
I went yesterday after work and got a Coach purse. It wasn’t the one I saw last week, but it’s still cute. I got it for $220 something after tax. I like it because I didn’t pay for it. My boyfriend gave me more than enough to cover it. He said that he wanted to buy me something nice for my birthday instead of just giving me money. I was going to get a wallet too, but I didn’t want to spend more money.
I got some really cute birthday cards and I want to send them out. So tell me your birthday and I’ll send you one.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve always been fascinated with murder mysteries. I love finding out “who dunnit” at the end of a movie or book. I’m not much a fan of movies/books where you know who did it, but you find out how at the end. I don’t find that much fun. I always love to see if I can figure it out who before I reach the end. I’ve even gone as far as going to a murder mystery dinner, where I won a $50 gift certificate to their diner because I figured out the murder weapon (even though no one believed me).
That’s why I’m such a big fan of Detective Conan and the Kindaichi Case Files. Also, Monk and Psych, though, you know the killer in some of them. Although, I hate reading/watching them by myself because I get scared easily. One of my favorite romance author is Lisa Jackson. I love her mystery/romance books. They’re so good and scary!
Recently, I’m starting to read some Kindaichi manga that I got a LONG time ago, but never had the chance to read them. So I’m reading and re-reading some of them. I think I’m going to buy more when I have the money. After all, I do have my awesome discount.
I think a part of me have always wanted to be a detective, but I’m too much of a chicken to actually go out there and put myself at risk. For now, I’ll settle to solving it in my mind.
I have yet to find someone else who shares the same love. If you’re a mystery freak like I am, I would love to hear some recommendations. I’m sure there are other manga out there, but I have yet to find one that is as long as DC or Kindaichi.
I’ve been using PSP 7 forever now. I believe I got it like 6 or 7 years ago (don’t remember anymore). Back in high school, I didn’t have a lot of money, but I somehow convinced my mom to get me this ($90-100). Oh yeah, we were also on dial-up back then too so downloading this took HOURS. Then one day, it was deleted or I changed computers or something because I had to call them to let me download it again (I had to do it twice). That was another few HOURS. However, for the times after that, I found out how to save the setup files and was able to install it on all my new computers. It was funny how it works in VISTA.
Then some time in college, I got PSP8. PSP 8 was confusing and it was sooo not worth my money. I tried it and I have the CD and everything, but PSP 7 was still the best. I was going to get PSP9, but I didn’t want to be disappointed again.
So I was at a Best Buy the other day and I saw this:
I want it, but it’s for photo. It’s $100, but I found it on amazon for $67. I don’t know if I want it. Maybe when I get paid next Friday. I don’t know if it’ll be as great as PSP7.
Oh, and I found this on amazon:
Guess how much it’s going for? $97 AND they’re selling PSP8 for $100. Damn! Even years later, it’s still the same price. Crazy!
Maybe I should just get Adobe Photoshop. Though, I have one of their old, old versions and CS, but I never really got used to it and it’s somewhere on my other computer. I’m sure if I take the time to learn, like I did for PSP7, I can make a layout. However, I don’t know if I want to. Plus, it’s SUPER expensive! I can barely afford the $67 for the other one.
Before google decided to lower my pagerank from a 3 to a big fat zero, I was doing pretty well on payperpost. I mean, I wasn’t making bank like a lot of people, but $279 is a lot of money, right? It’s no lie, I really did get that much.
