It has gotten easier!

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

I remember back in 2003 when I first decided I want to get a domain and hosting. I remember looking at different places and thinking how some places were so expensive, while others were so cheap. I was confused because I didn’t know which one I wanted to go with.

Website hosting has gotten easy and more affordable nowaday, but there are still so many companies to choose from. Why go searching all over the web for different reviews when you can just go to one place and find all that you need.

At Web Hosting Rating, you can read reviews written by actual users (kind of like amazon), to see if the company is worth wasting your money on. For example, on the main page, there’s a list of top 10 for 2009 with features and bonus features. Here is a review from #1, Acenet, Inc.. This website is unlike any other ones like it because it lets YOU write your own opinions on the company. In addition, you can also read some really great articles about hosting. For example, like this article called “Five Reasons to Choose Windows Server 2008 Hosting.”

This is great for people who don’t know which provider they want to go with or want to find a new provider.

Still here!

God, so much has happened since I last blogged. I don’t remember most of the details and some of it is private, but I’ll talk about it later.

So summer school is ending, but fall semester has started. WTF, right? It overlap a week so I’ve been busy running from one school to the other and stress with books and parking. Though, it’s a good thing that I’m still in school. If I wasn’t, I would have to pay back my loans. That’s $250 a month that I don’t have.

Oh today was an interesting day, actually. The station where I take the bus to and from school received a bomb threat. Apparently, some called the start at 2:30 saying something about a letter that they had gotten. The cops checked the place out and found nothing. Probably a prank? I don’t know. So my bus was the first bus that came back to the station and if I had gotten on a later bus, then I probably wouldn’t get home until an hour later.

God, me and the bus/train. Almost every other time, something goes wrong with the bus/train. Either something breaks down, threats, or it doesn’t show up…etc. First time, the bus didn’t show up so the station sent us on a taxi. Second time, there was a suitcase left at a station that I was suppose to get out of and was stuck 2 minutes away on the train for an hour. Third time, the bus got a flat tire and I missed my train and was stuck on the hot bus for about 3 hours. Forth time, the train had electrical problems and I was stuck for 4 hours without AC or air. Then fifth time, today. Though, I wasn’t stuck anyway today, but I could have been. WTF! I take buses and trains to help the environmnet and save gas and this is what I get?

Anyway, I’ll try to blog more later.
