Found out that I have to retake one of my classes. So here I am again.
Saw a bunch of movies: Avatar (twice!), Sherlock Holmes, Day Breakers, Book of Eli, and Edge of Darkness.
Work a bunch of days over the holiday and made money.
Quit one of my job (blog about that later)
Will write a private post on something that has been bother me.
Felt 2 earthquakes within the same week.
Went crazy with shopping.
Did a good deed: Copied from my facebook update (Jan. 31, 2010) - Some guy asked to use my phone. I thought it was important so I gave it to him. He called his girlfriend and started talking all lovey dovey to her for 10 minutes. It’s making me want to throw up! I just hope he doesn’t try to have a conversation with me afterwards.
- Now some other guy asked to use my phone to call some guy named Spider. I need to learn to say no.
- Omg and now his friend wants to use it!
- Omg one of the guy just got released from prison. Next time, I’m fucking driving. The train is scary! I’m annoyed!
School started again. I love the first week of classes. After that, I just don’t want to show up anymore.
I’m starting Lent early. Starting 2/1, I will give up shopping for 40 days. I know it’s not something hard to do, but lately, it has been hard for me. So besides food, school stuff, gas, and stuff that I really, really must buy, I’m not going to buy anything else. That means, no makeup, clothes, and useless items. It was either give up shopping, eating meat or drinking soda. I cannot give up meat. I can try giving up soda, but I know it will only last a week. However, on my birthday 2/15, I get to buy one thing for myself. I know it’s cheating, but whatever.
Went through a DUI checkpoint after partying at my bbf bday, but was lucky that the cop did not smell anything on me because I’ve drank earlier that night.
Everyone around me is doing Secret Santa and I want to be apart of it. Too bad I have too many different group of friends and they don’t all know each other so I can’t do it with them. Anyway, anyone interested in doing Secret Santa. I know that Christmas is 2 or so weeks away, but we can go up to New Year’s so it’s not so time crunching. Let me know!
Oh, and it’s actual gifts, not online graphics or whatever (in case you’re wonder), but the price is like $10-15 so it’s not so bad.
This year, I want turkey because I’m sick of my mom’s asian version of Thanksgiving food. I asked my mom to make the turkey, but she said, “If you want it, make it yourself.” Okay, fine. So last night, I went shopping for some ingredients. I cleaned the turkey and semi-stuffed it with herbs and onions. It soaked overnight with chicken broth because I could not find any turkey stock or broth. So the turkey is now in the oven. The prep process was good, except for the spill I made because the tray was not strong enough to hold a 16lb turkey. I hope it taste okay. Anyway, have a good Thanksgiving everyone!
Oh, and in place of me camping out at Best Buy tonight or whatever because I have work tomorrow at 9am, I went shopping the other day and also got some stuff. I got a netbook, 2TB external HD, a straightener, and some more makeup. I know, I shouldn’t spent so much, so I’m going to be returning some stuff.
Anyway, gotta go. My brother is throwing a fit because my computer is slowing down his gaming process. Jerk munch!
Sorry, for sort of disappearing and not blogging for months now. This is probably the longest that I’ve gone without actually blogging. I usually try to blog once a month when I’m busy, but in the back of my mind, I’ve been trying to avoid looking at my site due to guilt of not blogging. ANYWAY, so I’m going to try to blog more often. And like always a lot of things happened to me in the past….2-3 months of non-blogging. I guess I’ll just list the major things because I can’t remember them all. *looks through twitter*
….2 minutes later….
hm…suddenly, some events don’t seem significant to me anymore. You can read my twitter if you care.
So I’ll just type whatever’s on my mind. First of all, I got a new job. Well, another job. It pays a little bit better, it’s 5 minutes from home, and I love it there. As for my old job, I’m only working there 2 days out of the week. I still love books and I love my discount so I can’t seem to quit. Plus, this way, I do get paid weekly. I actually had to get another job because my bookstore job does not give me enough hours to cover some of my bills (I’ve been going on a shopping spree in the past couple of months). I wish I could work full-time, but school and other obligations are preventing me from doing so. It’s not like 2 part-time jobs are better, but I can work around it versus a full-time job, where it’s a bit harder to do so.
In other news, I got a new phone. It’s an iPhone. Though, I still have my old one because my Verizon contract is not up for a year or so. Anyway, reason why I got the iPhone is because I constantly find myself needing to use the internet, but can’t access that because my mom doesn’t want to pay for it. So I secretly got another phone for the internet. Surprisingly, I use both phones equally, as we all know, AT&T have really bad service in certain areas and Verizon is covered everywhere. Oh, and my iPhone plan doesn’t give me a lot of minutes. In fact, I find them subtracting my nights and weekends minutes whenever I call my boyfriend, even though, we’re suppose to be mobile-to-mobile…So, I don’t call with my iPhone a lot because of the minutes. Then due to the extra $100/month for the phone, I really could use that second job. It’s more expensive to be on an individual plan, but I don’t trust my sister to pay her half of the bill if we go on a family plan.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but for the past 3 months, I find myself buying A LOT of stuff: make-up, purses, clothes, food, random things…etc. I don’t know if it’s because of the credit cards I have or the new job, but I’m trying to control that because it’s getting out of hand.
I remember back in 2003 when I first decided I want to get a domain and hosting. I remember looking at different places and thinking how some places were so expensive, while others were so cheap. I was confused because I didn’t know which one I wanted to go with.
Website hosting has gotten easy and more affordable nowaday, but there are still so many companies to choose from. Why go searching all over the web for different reviews when you can just go to one place and find all that you need.
At Web Hosting Rating, you can read reviews written by actual users (kind of like amazon), to see if the company is worth wasting your money on. For example, on the main page, there’s a list of top 10 for 2009 with features and bonus features. Here is a review from #1, Acenet, Inc.. This website is unlike any other ones like it because it lets YOU write your own opinions on the company. In addition, you can also read some really great articles about hosting. For example, like this article called “Five Reasons to Choose Windows Server 2008 Hosting.”
This is great for people who don’t know which provider they want to go with or want to find a new provider.
